The overweight ticket happens at the loading dock, not the weigh station

Most US states fine overweight trucks on a sliding per-pound scale, and the worst cases run to five figures with offloading, storage and a missed delivery window on top. A truck can be legal on gross weight and still get flagged on a single axle group or the Federal Bridge Formula. LoadingMCP distributes your actual load across the axle groups at plan time and checks each against the FHWA limits and the Bridge Formula, so the violation is caught while the cargo is still on the dock.
