Is the demo really free?
Yes, and it's not a stripped-down demo. The full planner runs in your browser with no login and no card: right-sizing, 3D packing, the complete compliance engine, packing-list import, the drag-to-balance CoG, a printable work order, and PDF / Excel / JSON export. A paid plan adds saved projects + history (your loads kept and re-openable) and, on Business, the REST API + MCP so you can plan from your TMS or AI client, plus seats and higher limits.
What's the difference between Starter and Business?
Starter is the solo plan: your own saved projects and full load history, kept across sessions so you can re-open and edit any past load, on higher limits than the free planner. Business adds the REST API and MCP access (plans and work orders flow straight into your TMS or AI client) plus seats, more volume, and the handoff into the wider ecosystem. Just want to save your work? Starter. Planning from your stack? Business.
Do I need a paid plan to use the API or MCP server?
The MCP server has a public demo key that returns the standard equipment library and heuristic suggestions with no signup, so you can wire it up and test the connection. Running real loads through POST /v1/plan or the plan_load tool against the full optimizer needs a Business plan and an API key.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are monthly or annual through Stripe, and you can cancel from the dashboard. You keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. No exit call, no clawback.
How accurate is the compliance engine? What standards does it use?
Every check maps to a published standard: CTU Code for packing and securing, IMDG 7.2.4 for dangerous-goods segregation, SOLAS Reg. VI/2 for VGM, the McKee formula for carton crush, the US Federal Bridge Formula and FMCSA for axles, and EN 12195 for road cargo-securing. It is a strong pre-shipment check, but the verdict is decision support, not a legal certificate. The shipper of record stays responsible for the declaration.
Will it handle dangerous goods properly?
It runs IMDG 7.2.4 segregation before packing, so incompatible classes are kept apart in the plan rather than packed and flagged too late. It does not replace your DG declaration, the carrier's acceptance, or a competent person's sign-off; it makes sure the stow itself doesn't break the segregation table.
What happens to my data and saved projects?
Your cargo lists and plans are yours. Billing runs through Stripe; we never see your card details. Cargo dimensions and weights are used to compute and store your plans, nothing more; delete a project and it is gone. The login is shared with TrackingMCP and SchedulesMCP, so one account covers the ecosystem.
Do you bill per plan or charge overages?
No. You pay the plan price, not a meter. Volume limits are generous and set by tier; if you outgrow Business, we'll talk about a higher allowance rather than letting a surprise bill land.
