Container & truck internal dimensions and payloads

Internal (usable) dimensions and payloads for the standard equipment LoadingMCP packs into: 20ft, 40ft, 40HC and 45ft dry containers, reefers, EU/US trailers and ISO pallets. These are nominal industry figures; real internal dims and payloads vary by build and operator, so verify against the equipment spec before quoting a safety-critical load.

Standard shipping containers run from 20ft to 45ft. A 20ft (20GP) container has 33.1 m³ of usable space and a 28,230 kg payload; a 40ft high-cube (40HC) has 76.2 m³ and a 26,460 kg payload. Internal dimensions, door openings, payloads and single-tier pallet counts for every container, trailer, ULD and pallet are below.

Reefer container dimensions

Refrigerated (reefer) containers: the insulation and the reefer unit shrink the usable box, so internal dims are smaller than the dry equivalent.

Flat-rack & open-top (out-of-gauge) dimensions

Flat-racks (no side walls or roof) and open-tops (removable roof) carry over-dimension and over-height cargo. Deck dimensions and payloads; cargo may overhang the deck and stand proud of the roof line.
